Our Approach

Sustainable is beautiful.

We believe in connecting people to their natural environment, enriching lives with beauty, and keeping every place we touch better than the way we found it.

Most landscapers can build great spaces, but few can design it with a holistic understanding understanding of the land, native plants, and natural water flow to preserve and protect the beauty of nature around us.

Our team includes a Master's-trained landscape architect, horticulturalists with decades of practice in this community's ecosystems, and tradespeople who have spent their careers working this land.

We embed sustainability in every step of the process from evaluating the property, curating plants and materials, managing runoff, protecting surrounding water systems, and create landscapes that truly belong.

"There's an old saying that urges us to tread lightly on our moccasins. We want to leave each place we visit better than we found it. That's been our guiding principle since 1957."

Native Plant Landscapes

Plants that evolved in Central Ontario, thrive in local soil and climate with minimal intervention, support pollinators, and connect your property to its natural heritage. Specified for your exact site, not selected from a standard list.

Rain Garden & Water Management

Capture, filter, and slowly release stormwater to protect lake health, reduce erosion, and meet waterfront regulations. Functional ecology that happens to look extraordinary.

Cottage & Waterfront Design

Setback regulations, shoreline buffers, dock surrounds, erosion control — we've worked on lakefront properties across Simcoe County and cottage country for decades.

  WHAT WE DO

Three ways we serve your landscape.

From first concept through decades of ongoing care — every engagement begins with your specific property, its ecology, and what you want to feel when you step outside.

Feature Projects. Lasting impact.

We've been shaping the landscapes and shorelines of Central Ontario and cottage country for nearly 70 years.

Meet Our Team

A family business built on
loving this land.

Parklane has been in Cassie's family since her grandmother broke ground in 1957. In that time, the company has grown into a team of people who genuinely chose this work and who bring something rare to it: a landscape architect with a Master's degree, certified horticulturalists, and tradespeople who have spent entire careers right here. Performance, Passion, People, Planet. Those aren't words on a wall — they show up in how carefully we clean up a site at the end of every day, and in the client relationships that have lasted decades.

Get Started

Let's talk about what's  possible for your property.

Every landscape has its own water flow, light, and character. Our first conversation is about understanding yours, not selling you anything.

We discuss how you want to live in the space and how thoughtful design can bring it together; from patios and walkways to gardens, grading, drainage, lighting, shorelines and complete outdoor living environments.

Every element is considered as part of one cohesive design, built to function beautifully and last for years.
